The ingredients needed to make Perfect Crockpot Roast:
- You need 3 lb Beef Chuck Roast
- Provide 1 salt
- You need 1 ground black pepper
- You need 3 clove garlic
- Use 1 small onion, chopped
- You need 2 tbsp olive oil
- Use 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Prepare 1 packages brown gravy mix
- Take 1 box beef stock
- Prepare 2 bay leaf
- Get 1 tsp garlic powder
Steps to make Perfect Crockpot Roast:
- Chop garlic cloves and onion, place in bowl. Optional: cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight so their ready for the morning.
- Trim fat from roast. Salt and pepper both sides generously. Optional: place in zip lock bag and refrigerate overnight.
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, put onions and garlic in. Stir occasionally.
- Meanwhile, take roast out and cover with all purpose flour.
- When onions and garlic are soft, place floured roast in pan and brown all sides.
- Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl/cup whisk together beef stock and brown gravy mix. Pour about 1⁄2 inch of liquid into Crockpot.
- Once roast is browned on all sides add it and the onion/garlic mix to the crockpot
- Pour gravy/stock mix on top and add all remaining ingredients to crockpot. Mix together and try to cover as much of the roast as possible.
